Within its operations, this app requires the Device Administrator permission which is solely utilized for user-requested prevention of uninstallation, without modification of system settings. Additionally, the app employs the VpnService to facilitate the adjustment of DNS servers across all network types, ensuring advanced security features without establishing an actual VPN connection or transmitting data through VPN channels.

In Android environments, adjusting DNS servers while using Wi-Fi is straightforward. However, no built-in option exists to modify DNS servers while on mobile networks (2G/3G/4G, etc.). This application establishes a local VPN connection (ensuring no external data transmission) to enable the use of configured DNS servers on both Wi-Fi and mobile networks without necessitating root permissions. Notably, the availability of both IPv4 and IPv6 configurations distinguishes this app, a feature uncommon on many devices and not supported by default in Android’s Wi-Fi settings.
